Polyethylene:
Polyethylene is a type of polymer that is primarily used in the packaging industry to produce items such as plastic bags, plastic films, and containers such as bottles, etc.
Types of polyethylene:
- Cross-linked polyethylene:
Low density polyethylene or LDPE, which is called light polyethylene.
Linear Low Density Polyethylene or LLDPE
- Linear polyethylene:
HDPE high density polyethylene, which is called heavy polyethylene
Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene UHMWPE
- Branched polyethylene:
MDPE medium density polyethylene
VLDPE very low density polyethylene
High molecular weight polyethylene HMWPE
ULMWPE ultra low molecular weight polyethylene
CPE chlorinated polyethylene
Features of polyethylene:
- Polyethylene is a white wax mass
- Resistant to chemicals
- Resistant to cold
- It is insulating and shock-absorbing, which softens by heating at 80-120 degrees Celsius.
